Presently I run a small workshop in Muskoka, ON CDN.   I have always been into woodworking, but as I get older and with the loss of my grandfather (my teacher and inspiration to tackle the world of woodworking) my passion has become stronger.  I have always been building small gifts and items for friends and family, but over the last couple years more people have asked for some of my items. So I took the step and open ‘Original Rudge’ in June 2007.

With this blog I hope to share with you, the reader, the step of running a small shop and hopefully you can follow me as a grow. (small hint of things changing)  I’m still knew to this woodworking world and I hope to share what I learn form my follow bloggers and some classes and plan to take as time goes on…

A little about me; I currently work in the Outdoor Recreation field.  I graduate from college as a professional camper, I have done everything from being a ropes director at a kids camp, the Head Guide for a outfitter in Algonquin Park, and now I’m the National Buyer for a large Company that offers high end trips across our great country…

Please share your thoughts with me…the good, the bad and even the ugly.  I will be learning as we go along here, and love to hear what you guys think.

Thanks for reading and I hope you will follow me on this new but exciting experience.
